tsp baking soda

tsp baking powder

cups butter

cups sugar

cups light brown sugar

tsp vanilla extract

cups chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Add the dry ingredients to a bowl: Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, & salt. Set the bowl aside.

  3. In a different bowl: Using your stand or hand mixer, combine the softened butter, sugar, & brown sugar until light & fluffy.

  4. Add eggs & vanilla, continue mixing until combined.

  5. Slowly add dry ingredients from the first bowl to the cream mixture. Mix until the dry ingredients are combined & a dough forms.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips by spatula or hand.

  7. Drop onto a parchment lined cookie sheet with a tablespoon 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-14 minutes, until bottom edges are lightly browned. The tops should not be browned.

  9. Remove to wire racks to cool.
